||Established by Board of Supervisors Resolution of
August 26, 1957, pursuant to Chapter 6, Paragraph 8950
of the California Health and Safety Code. M. O. of
7/11/95 to change name of District to South Kern
Cemetery District. (Formerly Arvin Public Cemetery
District); 3/11/2008 District requested staggered terms;
9/14/2010 Resolution 2010-273 increased number of
trustees to five.
||The District shall be governed and managed by
Resolution 2010-273 adopted by the Board of Supervisors
on 9/14/2010. The trustees shall be appointed by the
Board of Supervisors. Trustees shall be appointed from
electors residing within the South Kern Cemetery District.
||The trustees shall hold office for four years and

California Health & Safety Code and by regulations that
are promulgated by the Kern County Board of Supervisors.
|Meeting Place and Time:
||Meetings are conducted at the Arvin Public
Library, 201 Campus Drive, Arvin, CA 93203, at 5:30 P.M.
every third Tuesday of each month.
||Trustees are eligible to receive a monthly
stipend of $50 regardless of how many meetings they
necessary expenses for actual traveling in connection
with meetings or business of the board of trustees shall be
allowed and paid.
||Pursuant to State law, on or after January 1, 2006,
any person newly appointed shall successfully complete a
course in ethics training approved by the Fair political
Practices Commission and Attorney General. Each member
is required to complete this training every two years.
